Introduction
Michael Cornacchia, a former federal, state and UN prosecutor, concentrates his firm's practice in criminal defense, in federal and state courts, representation in grand jury and law enforcement investigations and related civil matters, including regulatory proceedings. In selected instances, Michael represents clients in civil cases, in both federal and state courts.
Michael has tried to verdict over 100 criminal and civil cases, in federal and state courts, and represented clients, in investigations and proceedings, in the New York Tri-State area, as well as throughout the United States.
On occasion, Michael's firm is retained by clients as "consulting counsel" to assist their attorneys, outside the courtroom, in negotiations and investigations, and, in the courtroom, as "trial counsel" or "co-counsel."
In order to present the strongest case to a judge, jury, regulators and prosecuting authorities, on a case by case basis, Michael's firm assembles professionals of proven talent, including forensic accountants, computer analysts and former federal agents and local police detectives who serve as his investigators.
